Tiny Twiggy

This is Caroline.
Caroline has been one of my best friends since we were 11 at school when we bonded over wearing bras. She is recently engaged. And she will kill me for using that picture!
It's not her general attire, she is normally found like this...

Yes, that is a goat on her back.
Shes got a whole menageie of tiny animals that she breeds, sells and does therapy with. I wanted to share with you the story of the latest edition to her team
Tiny Twiggy

Cute huh!
Back in May Caroline got a call from the equine hospital to say the RSPCA had found a miniature foal. She was found in a storm drain and no one quite knows where she came from, but she was lucky to be discovered. Twiggy was just a few days old when Caroline took her on, she moved in to her back garden and Caroline slept on the sofa for months to keep up her feeding. They went everywhere together, like another dog and she looked on Caroline as her mother sticking close by her side at all times.
Because they had to stay so close Twiggy was quickly initiated in to the Pony Pals team. The team of little horses travel around to care homes seeing the elderly. The smell of horses often brings back memories for them and being able to plait their manes reminds them of getting their children ready for school. Shes now used to walking on different surfaces, avoiding equipment, going in the lift- they're even house trained!
She's a quick learner and is doing a brilliant job! Twiggy started out life abandoned, thrown away and forgotten but now her fluffy little face brings happiness and the comforting feeling of nostalgia to so many everyday.
Despite the fact she's obviously bonkers, I'm pretty proud of Caroline for rearing Twigs amongst her daily life, work and other animals, and I think she's doing a wonderful job making others happy.

Guest Post - Ed the Tortoise

Hello! My name is Lord Edwin Goji Berry of Haslemere...or Ed for short. I'm Harriets tortoise and today I'm going to share my beauty routine and tips with you!

First off let's talk diet. I suppose you could say that I'm on the alkaline diet eating greens and greens and greens it's the way forward! Dandelions and vetch are my favourite but I'm also partial to a nice slice of juicy cucumber to help me stay hydrated. It's good for you humans too, with vitamins A, B and C and it's good for your kidneys!

I take a nice warm bath every day or two to wash any any sneaky bits of dirt and it's helps my digestion!
After my bath I get dried off and go out in the garden for some exercise!

Every so often I like to have a bit of olive oil rubbed on to my shell!

Ooh look I'm so shiney!! Olive oils not just for your salad either, you can put it on your finger nails if they are flaking and it helps them grow, and you can use it as a hot oil treatment on your hair...maybe I should tell Harriet, she's always banging on about bigger hair...

Vitamin D from Mr Sunshine is also very important for me, it helps my shell grow. If the sun is having a day off then I have a special light to keep me healthy.
Oh, yes I love it under here- toasty warm!
My last beauty tip for you all is to get lots and lots of sleep!
Sometimes I get so tired I forget to sleep in my shell! Oops! Sleep is important to help digest your food properly and help your body recover from the day, personally I have about 15 hours sleep a night plus several naps. Naps are essential!!

Anyway, that's all from me for today...I'm off to the garden...

Festival

This weekend I spent a great day at Hyde Park watching McBusted, Backstreet Boys, The Vamps and Scouting for Girls as part of Barcley Card British Summer Time.

Dungeres - Primark
Crop Top - New Look
Sneakers - Converse
Sunglasses - RayBan
Head Band - Forever 21

Practical, comfortable and cute was the over all ain't for this outfit as through out the day there will be lots of standing/walking/jumping/dancing going on! Last summer I was undecided on the dungeree look, but this year decided to go for it. As they're a fleeting fashion I didn't want to spend too much and found this great pair in Primark. They also make a great hide for my chubby tummy and I was able to brave a crop top! And of course had to accessorise with a fower crown! For events like this always check the weather before hand! In my bag I had stuffed a long sleeved top, scarf and extra socks just in case it got cold, and a poncho ready for the rain! Plus my wellies in the car just in case!

The day was mostly glorious, and when the rain set in the music made it bearable!  Having always been a Busted and McFly fan, the absolute highlight of the day has to be a double rainbow over the stage...magical!
